Coggins Tests: Proof of negative Coggins test as required by state law is the original vet certificate. Please mail a copy with your entry.
Jumping: Jumping classes may be added at the show if room permits. NOTE: The jumping portion of the CT will be run with the hunter/jumper show being run in a second ring. These classes will precede the hunter jumper show classes on Sunday morning in order to have scheduled times. They will be early.
Late Entries: POSTMARK must be July 27 or before to be on-time. If scheduling allows late entries may be accepted with an additional $20 late fee per horse.
Stalls: All horses are required to have a stall and purchase a minimum of 2 bags of shaving from the Eq. Center as per NEC rules. No screws or staples are allowed to attach materials to stalls. Any materials added to stalls should be removed upon loading to prevent injury to future barn users and horses as per NEC rules. No hauled in bedding. If you do, I need to charge you an additional $10 cleaning fee. (my contract specifies all these requirements).
Smoking: is not allowed in the confines of the barns, show office, retail shops or any other indoor park facility of vehicle, including but not limited to tents as per NEC rules.
Motorized vehicles: No one without a valid driver's licence can operate any vehicles (golf carts included) at the NEC. Vehicles cannot be taken into buildings (except to store at night) per NEC rules.
NOTE: You are welcome to enter classes in the hunter/jumper show on Saturday/Sunday. Find class numbers on the Kirkwood Hunter/Jumper Entry 2009 tab to add to this form. If you add additional hunter/jumper classes at the show, please tell the office personel that you are entered in the CT so they can find your entry form.
FYI: Riders who are Hunter/Jumper riders trying out dressage at this show: All dressage rides are set at a particular time. If the show is running ahead of time you may wait til your assigned time or may ride early. Be sure you do not miss your dressage rides if you are also competing in the hunter/jumper show. If you miss your ride time you are eliminated. If you need help with scheduling contact Sandy (361) 293-1728 ahead of time.
Dogs/other animals: I personally love them, but leave them at home or keep them on a leash. Unleashed non-equines are subject to impoundment by NEC and owner will be fined $100. No dogs allowed in the concession area. All per NEC rules.
