ENTRY FEES HUNTER/JUMPER CLASSES
Regular classes $15 STAR classes $20 The Kirkwood Classic $35.
POST ENTRY/OFFICE FEES A one-time “post entry”/office fee of $20 per horse will be assessed to all entrants making entries after August 15, 2011. Why do we charge an office fee? We pay show help. The more people who enter at the show the more help we have to hire. If you pre-enter the show manager can do it herself. Sandy doesn’t get paid, so she passes the savings on to you. Return check fee $30.
SCHOOLING Friday evening from the time the course is set (generally a little after noon) until 8:00 PM and 6 AM to 7:45 AM on Saturday. Schooling Sunday 6-7:30 AM. All entries pay the fee of $10 to defray part of the cost of insurance for schooling. All horses on the property must be entered in at least one class and have a stall. This includes horses arriving on Friday. Horses must have a number before schooling, even on Friday.
STABLING All horses must have a stall as per NEC contract. No screws or staples are allowed to attach materials to stalls. Any materials added to stalls should be removed upon loading to prevent injury to future barn users and horses as per NEC rules. STALLS: CALL (361 293-1728) FOR RESERVATIONS. Friday thru Sunday $80. One day only $45. One day stall- Arrivals after 4pm will not be charged for the night prior to day rental. Horses wishing to arrive earlier than 4PM must pay a stall fee for the additional day. Weekend stall=Friday-Sunday
NEC requires all exhibitors to buy 2 bags of shavings @$7.75/bag. Reserve and pay for shaving directly through the NEC.
Questions? Please ask. We have lots of beginners and are happy to help you understand what is happening.
When blocks of stalls are reserved trainers need to identify to whom they are to be billed to upon arrival. If tack stalls are to be split a list needs to be presented to the office detailing which riders pay. The fee will be divided by the number of riders indicated and rounded up to the nearest whole dollar. Riders should include the name of the barn with whom they are they are stabling on their entry form. If such a list is not presented, the person ordering the tack stall will be held responsible for the entire amount. The NEC requires that anyone in an unassigned stall may be asked to move and pay a $10 clean up charge. PLEASE CHECK WITH THE MANAGEMENT FOR ASSIGNED STALLS BEFORE OCCUPRYING A STALL.
SMOKING is not allowed in the confines of the barns, show office, retail shops or any other indoor park facility of vehicle, including but not limited to tents as per NEC rules.
DOGS/OTHER NON EQUINE ANIMALS We personally love them, but leave them at home or keep them on a leash. Unleashed non-equines are subject to impoundment by NEC and owner will be fined $100. No dogs allowed in the concession area. All per NEC rules.
Challenge Trophies Must be won 3 times by the same horse for permanent possession. Trophies will remain with the committee and a second trophy will be awarded to the winner.
