Directions from different areas

DO NOT FOLLOW MAP DIRECTIONS OFF INTERNET SITES, THEY SEND YOU DOWN AN OLD CATTLE TRAIL TO MY FARM.  IT WON'T BE A FUN EXPERIENCE, WILL TAKE MORE TIME AND THERE WILL BE MANY MORE TURNS.

The directions below can bring you in from Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Victoria, Corpus Christi and Beeville.

from the NORTH - EAST Houston area

DIRECTIONS TO SUNSHINE STABLES (SANDY VENNEMAN’S FARM)

(Option 1-From Highway 10)
From Highway 10 West, take highway 77 SOUTH to 111 where you will turn RIGHT (WEST).

(If you pass up 111 you will see FM628, you can follow the map in this way also.)

(OPTION 2- From Highway 59)

From Highway 59 South turn left onto Highway 111 (West.)

Take 111 to FM 1447. Turn LEFT (SOUTH) onto 1447.

Stay on FM1447 until Primitive Baptist Church Road. Turn RIGHT (NORTH) onto Primitive Baptist Church Road Before you get to this road you will pass a cattle operation on the right (North side). The Primitive Baptist Church is just after this across the road (South side). It is an ugly 1 story building that doesn’t look like a church, but it does look commercial. (If you pass this up you will see Sapp Road on your right)

Stay on Primitive Baptist Church Road (3 miles total)

After turning onto Primative Baptist Church Road you will very quickly cross over a cross street that has a yield sign. At that point the road name changed to Edgar to Leesville Road, but you would never notice.

At the 3 mile mark the paved road curves right and the road you are on continues straight as it turns into a gravel road. At this point there is a large intersection. My farm is the corner lot ahead of you with the mailbox with the horsehead.  It has a new barbed wire fence with green metal posts. The fence on your left is an old broken down pole and metal one.

Continue straight up the gravel road and go slow because my gate is .2 miles up the on the RIGHT. The entry has brass numbers on the wood part of the fence and hunt horns on it. The address is 4209.

Drive in, proceed in the tire tracks straight ahead and find a shady place to park. For show days please exit the drive BEFORE the ridings rings if the show has begun so you do not interrupt someone in competition.

For lessons/clinics, drive straight up to the barn where you can park under the big oak next to the barn.
